Article On Cocaine Addiction And Abuse Cocaine- is produced from the leaves of the coca plant. Cocaine, grows out of the ground, just like marijuana and heroin does. Cocaine was once used as a numbing to certain areas of the body. If cocaine is shot into the body with a needle, or put on the tongue, it will numb that touched area within seconds. The lobes in the brain that deals with touch are the parietal lobes. Once cocaine has caused a part of a person’s body to feel numb, the parietal lobes in the brain have been hit. Cocaine, by its cunning power, will take the sense of touch from its users. There are three ways cocaine can be put into the body. The first way to utilize this drug is to snort it through the nostril, which is a work done by the brainstem, because inhaling is being performed. The second way to use this drug is to inhale and exhale it through the mouth, which is the brainstem job again. The third way to activate this drug is too use a syringe and inject into the bloody veins, which the hands controller does. People who put cocaine in their brain and body, often times experience nervousness and paranoia. Nervousness and paranoia are attached to emotions (frontal lobe work). After cocaine has traveled through a person’s emotion and paranoia center, it has that individual’s feeling in its crafty power. Cocaine will cause its users to walk up and down the streets night and day. All during the day, cocaine user will not take a bite to eat. Once the limbic system becomes addicted to cocaine, it will ignore the need for food. Cocaine will become the limbic system’s new food for flavor. The appetite for food will not be the limbic systems satisfaction, because cocaine will. However, in a short period of time, the brain cells, neurons, cerebellum, cerebrum, hemispheres (left and right), the four lobes, brain stem, and memory, will all be controlled and demolished by this chemical control substance. Cocaine is powerful, and once it is put into the mind, it has the chance to think. Cocaine is dead, until it is put inside a brain. Once this is done, cocaine has just come alive.
