Puzzle games are always a source of enjoyment once we start exploring it. They are generally unputdownable and we tend to sit with it for hours together breaking our heads to find the solution. Among these various alluring puzzles, “Battleship game” always find a place on top. This puzzle is quite old dating back to nineteenth century. This is also called as Sea War game. It is famously known as pencil and paper game. Clifford Von Wickler in 1900 invented this game. This game can be played by two players or it can also be played with the computer. It consisting of two boards one will be played by computer and another will be played by the player. The boards are compared to the sea in this game and the battle ships will be hidden in the sea. The player has to play against the computer, find out the Battle Ships location and destroy them before the computer does. Before the battle ship game begins, the ships are invisibly placed in random in the board and each board consists of 10 ships. When the first player starts, he should guess the position where the opponent ship can be present and target it just by clicking on that grid. Incase a part of the ship is hidden that grid, then it takes a hit and a lock would appear in that particular grid. If all the grids for a particular ship are hit, then it is considered that the ship is sunk. This would proceed in a series of rounds until all the 10 ships are sunk by the player. The jest of the game is to sink all the 10 hidden ships. Whoever manages to destroy all the ships would be the winner. As this game is not complicated to learn and play, it is easily one of the most chosen online games. |
